ENER21 client presented with the Energy Efficiency Champion Award – Industrial Sector

Fredericton, May 12, 2011, 3rd annual Premier’s Awards for Energy Efficiency. Following the implementation of an Energy Management Information System (EMIS), Groupe Savoie, a leader in hardwood processing based in Saint-Quentin, was presented with the Energy Efficiency Champion Award – Industrial Sector by New Brunswick PM, Mr. David Alward.

The implementation of the EMIS involved installing meters, setting up data automation systems, developing analytical tools, preparing reports, providing assistance for decision-making purposes, giving information sessions, delivering training courses and integrating the EMIS into the company’s management systems.

Thanks to the EMIS, Groupe Savoie can now monitor the energy consumed with real-time readings based on actual consumption rates and identify the departments responsible for monthly peak demands, thereby guaranteeing lower energy bills. The EMIS helped plant employees determine the most energy-consuming sources, which subsequently justified investing in energy conservation measures that pinpointed areas likely to allow reducing energy consumption using concrete energy data.
